Every morning, Bex zipped along the meadow path and rang one tiny bell for each flower. Ting for the daisy, ting for the tulip, ting for the grass that tickled his tires. He had set himself a challenge: ring three spring bells before the cloud crossed the sun.
Until one day, his bow-tied basket went bump-bump-BUMP and swallowed the loudest bell. Because of that, Bex chased the jingling rattle through clover and mud. Because of THAT, every bee, beetle, and sleepy snail followed the sound, shouting, “Go, Bex, go!”
At last, Bex tipped his basket, and the bell popped out with a TING so bright everyone laughed and rang it together. Next time you spot his big ears and little basket, can you hear the meadow answering, ting for the daisy?
