🎨 How to color it

Color the diplodocus soft sage green, the scarf cherry red with icy blue snowflake panels, and the Christmas tree deep pine with golden ornaments. Use chunky crayons or markers for the dinosaur’s big body and tree tiers, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the tiny scarf patterns, candy canes, and gift bows. Try making every falling snowflake pale blue except the one nearest the tail, which can sparkle silver like a secret.

The story behind this coloring page

Lio’s Silver Snowflake — Every evening, Lio tucked a flat silver paper snowflake under his scarf and carried it to the fir glade. Read the full story →

Every evening, Lio tucked a flat silver paper snowflake under his scarf and carried it to the fir glade. It had been folded from the first cold morning leaf he ever saved, and it made a tiny shush-shush sound against his neck.

Then one day, real snow began to fall, soft as fern fuzz. Because of that, the little fir’s highest branch bent low and bare under its bright star. Because of that, the wrapped gifts below looked extra lonely in the blue-white quiet. Lio lifted his long neck and whispered, “You can shine here.”

He slipped his silver snowflake onto the drooping branch and stepped back without calling anyone. By morning, every snowflake on the fir glittered around it, and only Lio knew why the glade made a tiny shush-shush sound.
