🎨 How to color it

Try a cherry-red cap and shirt star for the cheering girl, a royal-blue foam finger, golden-yellow pennant, and silver-gray stadium railings. Use sharp colored pencils for the many small faces, flags, and bleacher lines, working from the front row toward the distant crowd. For a secret-team look, make the tiny flags around the stadium alternate red and blue while the big pennant glows yellow.

The story behind this coloring page

High in the upper deck, Saffi tapped her cardboard hand against the rail—thup, thup, thup—and tried her new game, Echo Arrow. She wanted every faraway fan to hear one cheer at the same time. The problem was the stadium swallowed sound; shouts fell into the steps like coins in a drain. Then, under the smell of popcorn and rain-wet wood, a tiny voice slipped from a crack beneath her seat. “Point it where the echo climbs.”

Saffi lifted the hand instead of waving it sideways. The cheer shot upward, bounced off the light tower, and came back bigger—GO! GO! GO! Kids in caps laughed, flags snapped, and strangers passed the sound row by row until joy felt too large for one throat. The cardboard bent, so the snack-stand maker filled a glove-shaped sign with soft foam, strong enough to aim the cheer skyward. Ever since, foam fingers point up, and if you spot Saffi’s grin in the stands, maybe you can hear the echo climb—thup, thup, thup.
