Every morning before the bakery opened, Soren stirred pancake batter in the back kitchen and practiced one flip into the air. The bowl went glup-glup, the stove hissed, and his lucky hat wobbled like a cloud. He wanted the first perfect flip before the breakfast bell rang, but the batter always landed with a splat that sounded suspiciously like a duck.
One morning, the flour bag sneezed. Not poof—“A-choo!” Because of that, Soren poked it with his spoon and found a tiny brass kazoo tucked in the fold nobody ever checked. Because of THAT, every stir made the kazoo toot from inside the bag, and the sleepy bakers shuffled in, laughing so hard their aprons shook. “Encore!” cried Soren, flipping one pancake high as a plate-shaped moon.
It landed neatly in the pan, smelling of butter and warm vanilla. The bell rang, the kitchen cheered, and Soren knew the noisy, flour-dusted corner was exactly his place. If you spot the flour bag, don’t you dare ask whether it’s still chuckling glup-glup.
