🎨 How to color it

Color her leafy wings in moss green and golden yellow, make the pumpkin wand bright orange, and give the spotted mushroom caps cherry red tops with cream dots. Use sharp colored pencils for the leaf veins, striped tights, tiny stars, and all those round mushroom spots so the details stay crisp. Try a deep blue-to-purple glow around the crescent moon, leaving the fairy’s face and hat brim warm and bright.

Under the thinnest silver moon, Saffra pinched three sparks from her pumpkin wand and hid them in her sleeve. She had just invented a game called Which Glimmer Lied? The rules were secret, of course: toss the sparks, let them land, and guess which one would blink first. The mushroom glade smelled like damp bark and nutmeg, and every cap below waited as quietly as a held breath.

“Not that one,” Saffra whispered, pointing with her curled boot. But the sparks did not blink. They bounced. Plip on a tall mushroom. Pip on a small one. Ploop on a cap so round it rang like a tiny bell. Then the glade began guessing back. One mushroom flashed a dot. Another added two. Soon every cap wore pale circles where the sparks had kissed it, and Saffra’s curiosity ran faster than her wings.

She chased the last spark past leaves sharp as little crowns and caught it just before it tapped the moon. Ever since that night, moon mushrooms have kept their dots so players know where the first game landed. If you ever spot a dotted cap, dare yourself to guess which glimmer lied.
