🎨 How to color it

Give the scoreboard a deep navy frame, the BIG GAME DAY letters bright red, the end zone grass emerald green, and the crowd tiny dots of gold, teal, and white. Use sharp colored pencils for the scoreboard labels and yard numbers, then switch to smooth marker strokes for the wide field sections. Try a sunset gradient behind the flag and light towers so the big scoreboard feels ready for kickoff.

Every day after school, Bria climbed to Section 12 with a pencil and a pretzel-salt notebook to invent stadium games. Her newest was End Zone Dash: start at the 10, follow whatever number the scoreboard flashed, and reach the goal before the crowd finished one roar. She wanted the junior crew to play it before kickoff, when the air smelled like popcorn and rain on concrete. Until one day, the giant board blinked HOME, GUEST, DOWN—then froze with every box empty.

Because of that, the crew could not start their warm-up race, and the cheer captains below stamped in place, pom-poms hissing like paper snakes. Because of that, Bria spotted the only working clue: the little flag above the board snapped left, toward the service catwalk. “My game has a secret level,” she said, and bolted up the metal stairs, shoes clanging.

At the catwalk door, wind pushed cold through the crack. Bria found a loose cable tapping tap-tap-tap against the frame, exactly three beats—the number for DOWN. She clipped it in, and the board burst awake: BIG GAME DAY blazing over the end zone. Finally, End Zone Dash began with the whole junior crew racing the yard lines below, and Bria knew the clang, roar, and popcorn air were exactly where she belonged. If you follow the numbers from the 10 toward the end zone, can you find her secret level?
