🎨 How to color it

Color the kitten soft cream, the tall tulip coral pink, the daisy sunny yellow and white, and the butterfly in lavender and orange. Use sharp colored pencils for the butterfly’s tiny wing spots and the kitten’s whiskers, then switch to broader strokes for the large flower petals and rolling hills. Try making the breeze lines pale blue so the garden feels like it is gently humming around the path.

Beside the warm stone path, Tessa pressed her nose into a tulip and sneezed so softly that one pink petal trembled. The garden smelled of damp leaves, sunlit dirt, and honey. She wanted her housebound friend, Old Bram at the porch, to smell this perfect morning too, but every time she tried to carry a blossom, the stem bent and the sweetness faded.

Then a butterfly drifted down without a sound, its wings dusted like tiny painted windows. It landed near Tessa’s paws and fanned the air once. The tulip’s scent lifted, curled, and slipped along the path. “Follow the curl,” whispered the butterfly.

Tessa padded after it, tail high, as the breeze looped around the daisy, over the stones, and straight to the porch where Old Bram opened one sleepy eye and purred. Tessa’s chest felt too full for just one kitten. Ever since that morning, garden breezes curl and swirl, gathering flower joy as they go so it can be shared. Look along the stone path again—you can almost smell the tulip trembling.
