🎨 How to color it

Color the corn maze paths golden tan, the pumpkins deep orange, the barn warm red, and the festival tents sky blue and sunflower yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the tight turns, corn kernels, tiny flags, and letter shapes, then fill the larger maze walls with steady marker strokes. Try making each pumpkin vine a different green so the round pumpkins feel like hidden stops along the route.

At the harvest maze gate, a brass button clicked in Juniper’s palm as she bounced on her toes. She wanted to walk the festival route without holding anyone’s sleeve, so she pressed the button to her jacket and stepped where the straw smelled dry and sweet.

Past corn leaves that rattled like paper fans, she zipped by a pumpkin bend, a wagon of little gourds, and booths calling with warm popcorn smells. The turns looked bold and square, but her heart went tap-tap when the barn roof peeked over one wall. “I can choose the next one,” she whispered, and took the narrow path.

At the center, the button warmed against her coat. Its tiny grooves matched the maze itself: a barn notch, a pumpkin loop, a wagon wheel circle. Juniper laughed and stamped it in the dust, making a small shiny mark for the next walker.

She reached the arch just as flags snapped bright above the exit. If you trace from the big corn maze sign, can you find the route where Juniper’s brass button clicked in her palm?
