🎨 How to color it

Layer the tiger’s fur in burnt orange and deep amber, make the eyes jade green, color the lotus-like mandala petals teal and coral, and keep the bead ring in soft gold. Use sharp pencils and a light hand around the tiny curls, dots, and petal veins, working from the tiger’s nose outward so your wrist does not smear finished sections. For a sly finish, shade one side of every black stripe with plum or navy to make the face feel lit by secret lanterns.

Every evening, Orla polished the plain brass button on her collar before patrolling the moon bazaar, where cardamom steam curled around silk awnings and merchants whispered bargains to their own shadows. Until one day, the button winked. Because of that, Orla followed its tiny flash past a snoring carpet seller; because of that, every sign she passed swapped words—“Dates” became “Dares,” “Tea” became “Teeth,” and a pickle jar offered legal advice. Finally, laughing despite herself, Orla pinned the button to the bazaar gate, where it winked once more and all the mischief clicked neatly shut.
