🎨 How to color it

Give the bear honey-brown fur, the Santa hat a bright candy red, the scarf peppermint stripes, and the gift box a cheerful sky blue. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big paws, hat, and round face, then help with the tiny holly berries and scarf fringe if needed. Try making the stars golden and the snowflakes pale blue so the red hat and sweet heart-shaped nose pop.

The story behind this coloring page

Pip and the Humming Box — Under the workbench, where sawdust smelled like cookies, Pip pressed one ear to a little wrapped box. Hmmmm. Read the full story →

Under the workbench, where sawdust smelled like cookies, Pip pressed one ear to a little wrapped box. Hmmmm. He wanted to know what made it sing. So he slipped off his warm rug, bumped through ribbon curls, and pushed the box toward the frosty door.

Outside, snow squeaked under his paws. A tiny snow-cricket hopped from the holly and whispered, “Secret hums like moonlight.” Pip gave the cricket his scarf tassel for a ride on the box. Together they brought it back inside. The box still hummed, but now Pip did too—softly, happily, under the workbench. Can you spot the holly where the cricket first hopped?
