🎨 How to color it

Color the girl’s party hat sunny yellow with pink polka dots, her pigtail bows lavender, the star cake frosting sky blue, and the balloons cherry red and mint green. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big cake tiers and balloons, then switch to a sharper pencil for the tiny stars, candle stripes, and confetti bits. Try making every star on her dress a different bright color, as if the party lights have landed there.

The story behind this coloring page

Behind the paper streamers, Suki set one tiny candle in the middle of her cake and invented a game called Secret Spark. Each friend had to whisper a happy wish into their hands, then pass the warm pretend-spark to the next person. The room smelled like vanilla and wax, and the balloons bumped the ceiling with soft thup-thup sounds. “No peeking at the wish,” Suki said, grinning so wide her cheeks felt round as cherries.

But when the last wish reached her, the candle flame gave a blue wink. One spark became two, then three, then enough little flames for every sweet wish to have a place. The cake glittered as if it had been waiting to hear from everyone. Ever since that night, birthday cakes have carried candles to hold all the shared joy, not just one person’s wish. If you spot the tallest candle, can you guess which secret spark started first?
