🎨 How to color it

Color the striped awning in strawberry pink and vanilla cream, make the smiling cones chocolate, mint, and blueberry, and give the topping jars rainbow sprinkles, caramel dots, and cherry red hearts. Use sharp colored pencils for the waffle-cross lines, jar labels, tiny sprinkles, hearts, and stars, then switch to broader strokes for the big awning panels and cart sign. Try making the sun a soft lemon yellow while the clouds stay pale blue, so the frozen treats look extra bright under the warm sky.

The story behind this coloring page

Before the first bell of the promenade rang, Pippa stacked seven paper spoons beside her freezer and whispered her challenge: “One spoon for every cloud flavor.” She knew vanilla puff, peach mist, and sleepy coconut, but the seventh cloud kept sliding away behind the striped roofs. So she tucked the cart bell in her pocket and stepped past the counter, where the morning smelled like waffle cones and wet stone.

At the fountain, a cool breeze tugged her apron strings. Pippa followed it under fluttering pennants, across chalk stars, and around a bench humming with bees. The bell in her pocket went clink-clink-clink until, at the last puddle, it slipped out and sank with a tiny plop. Pippa paid for her wondering with silence; without the bell, nobody would know the cart was open.

Then the runaway cloud dipped low enough to taste the puddle. Its shadow smelled like blueberries after rain. Pippa filled her last spoon with that blue hush and hurried back, dripping and smiling. She tied a teaspoon to the awning string for a new bell, bright as a wink. Next time you see the little sun peeking over the cart, can you guess which scoop tasted like blueberries after rain?
