On the moonlit tea cart, a tiny cup clinked softly as Pippa patted mint leaves into her wooden spoon. She wanted to make Mama a sleepy-time sip before the kettle stopped humming. The mint smelled cool and green. Pippa stepped out of her warm nap bowl to fetch one sugar star from the top shelf.

Pop! A bubble with whiskers bounced from the sugar jar. “Help?” it squeaked, hiccuping sparkles. Pippa gave it her only mint leaf to chew. The bubble stopped wobbling and rolled her a silver sugar star, smooth as a pebble. Back in the cup, Pippa stirred and stirred until the drink fizzed gently. Mama smiled, and Pippa’s paws felt proud.
