🎨 How to color it

Color the helicopter sunny yellow, the horse chestnut brown with a cream mane, and the helipad soft gray with a red H. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big H letters and the horse’s wide body, then save a sharper crayon point for the rotor lines and small window. Try making the cloud pale blue at the bottom and nearly white on top, as if the helicopter just stirred the air.

Under the hilltop wind sock, Bex rubbed a tiny brass horseshoe in her pocket. She wanted the new rescue helicopter to land without scaring Clover, the foal who hated thunder-noise. The charm had belonged to the old stable bell, and it smelled faintly of hay and rain.

Whup-whup-whup came the helicopter, shaking the cloud like a blanket. Bex saw the pilot circling, unsure where to settle. She slipped the horseshoe onto the painted landing mark and whispered, “Hush here.” The metal glowed warm as toast. The rotors softened to a huff-huff-huff, and Clover trotted right past, ears up.

Nobody saw Bex tuck the charm back away. Ever since, H has held a hidden hush for helicopters, horses, and hilltop landings. Can you spot where the quiet first touched down?
