Every day after school, Pip zipped across the empty gym and made up games with squeaky sneakers and chalk dust. He wanted one game so exciting it could not sit still. He drew a lightning mark on his mask and called it Flash Trail.
Until one day, the chalk line wiggled by itself. Because of that, Pip chased it under the bleachers, where it buzzed like bees in a jar. Because of THAT, five chalk stars popped onto his cape and pointed to the lost whistle in the basketball net. “Zap to the rescue!” Pip shouted.
At last he climbed, tugged the whistle free, and blew one tiny tweet. The chalk stars settled down, but if you peek at his cape, you might spot where Flash Trail could not sit still.
