Between two waving curtains of kelp, Coralie set out her newest game: Copy-Crackle. She painted zigzags on one shell, dots on another, and dared every passing fish to remember the order. The brush tickled her fingers with slippery paint, and the eggs made soft clink-clink sounds in the woven basket.
A striped minnow guessed three patterns, then sneezed a bubble. A starfish judge gave five silent points by wiggling all five arms. Coralie added a secret rule: anyone who spotted the “silliest egg” could invent the next pattern. Soon she was painting hearts, shells, and one very suspicious pair of long oval shapes.
Then the suspicious egg blinked. It was not an egg at all, but a tiny sea bunny, sitting perfectly still among the coral bumps. “I’m winning,” it whispered. Coralie laughed so hard her flower crown bobbled, and she painted one real egg with bunny ears in its honor. If you peek back into the kelp garden, can you tell which player is still pretending to be part of Copy-Crackle?
