🎨 How to color it

Give the fox warm russet fur, the raccoon soft gray stripes, the bunny a creamy tan coat, the tent golden canvas, and the crescent moon pale butter yellow. Use sharp colored pencils for the guitar strings, tent folds, and little grass tufts, then switch to broader strokes for the tent panels and round tree tops. Try a secret night-glow effect by shading the campfire orange at the center and letting that warmth touch the animals’ paws and faces.

The story behind this coloring page

Under the crooked moon, Vira blew her carved wooden whistle, but only two notes came out: fee-fo, fee-fo. The third note, the one her old trail map promised, stayed hidden. She tucked the whistle against her chest and followed the smell of pine smoke to a clearing where a raccoon plucked a bright little guitar and a rabbit tapped a paintbrush on a tin cup.

“That whistle knows this place,” the rabbit whispered. Vira stepped close to the fire. The stones around it were smooth and warm, humming under her feet. When the raccoon played low, the rabbit tapped high, and Vira tried once more, the missing note slipped free—fah! Sparks rose, curved, and settled back above the ring of stones like tiny stars that had found their seats.

Ever since that night, campfires keep songs in a circle so no note has to wander alone. If you spot the three friends by the tent, listen closely: fee-fo-fah may still be tucked in the smoke.
