🎨 How to color it

Try a sky-blue jersey for number 7, coral stripes on the cone, bright white socks, and a classic black-and-white soccer ball. Use sharp colored pencils for the ball panels, shoe cleats, and ponytail lines, then switch to smoother strokes for the shirt and shorts. Add a light green curve along the field line so her dribble path feels like a secret trail.

The story behind this coloring page

Juno’s Sneaky Spiral Game — The chalk smelled dusty in the warm schoolyard as Juno drew a giant spiral around one orange cone. Read the full story →

The chalk smelled dusty in the warm schoolyard as Juno drew a giant spiral around one orange cone. She tapped her soccer ball with the side of her foot and announced, “New game: Sneaky Spiral! No rushing, no stomping, and absolutely no heroic zooming.” Her friends groaned from the bench, because the ball had to roll so slowly that the little black pellets in the turf seemed to be watching.

Juno crept around the first curve. Squeak went her cleat. Tap went the ball. A breeze lifted her ponytail, and she made her serious referee face at nobody in particular. Every few steps, she paused, counted to seven because her jersey said so, and nudged the ball again. The game felt silly, which made it harder not to giggle.

Then the cone wobbled. Out from under its square base came a tiny snail, shining like a dropped jelly bean, dragging a chalky white line behind it. Juno blinked. Her spiral wasn’t a course; it was a runway. She waited while the snail crossed the next curve, then followed its silver trail with the ball. By recess bell, everyone wanted a turn at going snail-speed. If you find the cone and the curved line, you might spot where Juno’s patient little referee began the Sneaky Spiral.
