🎨 How to color it

Color the unicorn pearl white with a lavender mane, a gold horn, a rainbow of coral, teal, butter yellow, and violet, and the flowers in rosy pinks and leaf greens. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiny stars, scallops, dots, and zigzags inside the mane, body, rainbow, and clouds, saving markers for the larger open flower petals. Try making the sky a pale twilight blue so the white stars, warm hearts, and bright rainbow bands feel like secret lights around the unicorn.

The story behind this coloring page

The Ribbon That Waited — Under the hum of crickets, Junia kept a faded ribbon tied around her horn. Read the full story →

Under the hum of crickets, Junia kept a faded ribbon tied around her horn. It was only a thin scrap, soft as a moth wing, but her mother had knotted it there before traveling beyond the far cloud hills. Junia wanted it to shine again before the first star-bloom opened, so she stepped out of her cozy fern circle and into the meadow paths that curled like whispered maps.

The dew cups waited past the tall spiral flowers, past stones warm from the day, past a cloud shadow that smelled like rain. A fox-moth fluttered close. “Not yet,” it clicked. Junia huffed, but she waited. One drop formed. Then another. By the time the moon tipped silver over the grass, her legs ached and the ribbon had soaked up only a quiet glow.

Junia carried it home anyway. At the fern circle, the star-bloom opened with a tiny glassy ping, and the ribbon answered—not bright, but deep, holding every patient minute inside it. If you peek at her horn, you may spot the secret shimmer she earned under the hum of crickets.
