🎨 How to color it

Color the dachshund chestnut brown with a cream muzzle, make the striped scarf cherry red and golden yellow, and give the meadow flowers sunny yellow centers with white petals. Use sharp colored pencils for the scarf stripes, leash loop, tiny grass blades, and flower petals so the narrow spaces stay crisp. Try a pale blue sky behind the puffy clouds, then add two soft greens to the winding path edges so the dachshund feels warm and bright in the middle.

Along the wildflower meadow, Ludo padded after the curving footpath, nose low, trying to reach the place where the air smelled most like home. Clover brushed his belly, his striped scarf flicked in the breeze, and every step made the leash whisper shh-shh over the sandy ground. He passed daisies with freckled centers, flat white clouds, and a tree that held the afternoon light in its leaves.

The path bent left, then right, as if it were thinking. Ludo slowed beside a patch of tall grass, listening to bees hum in the warm stems. His paws knew the dust, the slope, the soft dip near the flowers. “This is the spot,” he murmured, though he did not know why.

Then the wind lifted the leash behind him. Its loose loop settled perfectly around a tiny ring of blue petals hidden in the path dust, a secret flower so small nobody had looked there at all. From above, the leash and blossom made a little sign: here. Ludo lay down with his nose beside it, breathing clover, dust, and sunshine; if you trace the leash loop next time, you may find the place where the air smelled most like home.
