Every evening, Juno rolled his board along the moon ramp and counted stars by thumping his tail: thump-one, thump-two, thump-three. He wanted to invent a game no dinosaur could finish before bedtime. The ramp smelled like warm stone, and his wheels made a fizzy zzzzzip when he curved toward the sky.
Until one day, Juno shouted, “New rule: every star I name has to wink!” Because of that, he leaned higher, higher, hunting for the quietest star. Because of THAT, his board’s lightning bolts flashed, and the stars began winking out of order—plink, blink, blink-plink—until even the sun peeked back to see who was cheating.
Finally, Juno laughed so hard he forgot the count and named the game Sneaky Sky Shuffle instead. If you ever spot a T. rex grinning on a ramp, listen for thump-one, thump-two, thump-three.
