🎨 How to color it

Give the ant a bright cinnamon red body, the giant leaf a fresh lime green, the twisting vines deep jungle green, and the branch warm tan. Use chunky crayons or markers for the ant’s round body parts, then switch to a sharper green pencil for the leaf veins and skinny vine curls. Try making the big leaf darker at the jagged edges and lighter down the middle, as if sunlight is sliding along it.

Every day, Zadie nibbled neat half-moons from fallen leaves and stacked them by the vine tunnel. This week she gave herself a silly challenge: carry one whole leaf to the stump bell without taking even one snack bite. “No munch, no crunch,” she whispered, while the leaf smelled green and peppery above her head.

Until one day, the path sizzled in the sun, and tiny aphids squeaked under a curled tendril. Because of that, Zadie tipped her perfect leaf sideways. Because of THAT, cool shade spilled over the aphids, and they stopped squeaking. Nobody clapped; everyone was too busy being cool. Zadie marched on with a crooked leaf and a secret grin. Can you spot the leaf she did not munch, no crunch?
