🎨 How to color it

Color the bee’s stripes golden yellow and cocoa brown, the sunflower petals sunny orange, and the little rain cloud pale blue-gray. Use broad crayon strokes for the big petals and bee body, then switch to a sharper point for the sunflower seeds and leaf veins. Try making the raindrops bright turquoise so they look like tiny garden jewels falling beside the bee.

The story behind this coloring page

Bixie’s Secret Raindrop — Under the tall sunflower, Bixie kept a shiny raindrop tucked in a curled leaf cup. Read the full story →

Under the tall sunflower, Bixie kept a shiny raindrop tucked in a curled leaf cup. It was not just water—between us, it held the plink-plink sound of the first storm she had ever heard. She wanted to carry it home before the sun warmed it away. So she buzzed from her safe yellow petals into the damp garden air, where wet grass tickled her feet and the cloud grumbled softly overhead.

A tiny sprout near the stones bent low, its two leaves dusty and dry. No one was looking. Bixie’s wings dripped, and her leaf cup wobbled. “Here,” she whispered. The raindrop rolled down, darkening the soil with a cool little sigh. Bixie flew back lighter, with an empty cup and a new secret: giving can sound like plink. If you spot the sunflower, keep an eye out for the place where her secret fell.
