🎨 How to color it

Color the knight’s armor silver, the helmet plume royal blue, the round shield crimson with a golden lion, and the little castle towers warm gray. Use sharp colored pencils for the small helmet slots, lion shape, and star necklace, then switch to markers for the broad shield rings and armor plates. Try a pale blue glow around the sticker outline so the white clouds and tiny sparkles feel airy instead of crowded.

All evening, the old courtyard hummed like a seashell, and Elian rubbed the wooden lion button in his pocket. He had carved it from his crib rail after moving into the castle nursery, when every corridor smelled of stone dust and soup, and he wanted to stand at the front gate for the Night Welcome. The captain handed him a plain round shield instead. “Hold it steady,” she whispered.

Elian planted his boots between the two small towers. Clouds slid over the moon, soft as flour on a baker’s sleeve. When the first traveler’s bell rang outside the gate, his fingers closed around the button. It warmed, then leaped from his palm to the shield with a quiet tap. Gold light spread into a lion, paw raised, mane curling like a candle flame.

The gate opened. No one asked whose shield it was; everyone simply made room. Ever since, castle shields carry lions to show the door has a heart inside it—and if you spot Elian’s small star charm, you’ll know exactly where he belonged, in the old courtyard humming like a seashell.
