🎨 How to color it

Color the duck buttery yellow, the crown bright gold, the striped scarf cherry red and sky blue, and the holey cheese a warm cheddar orange. Use chunky crayons or markers for the duck’s big body and wing, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the crown points, scarf stripes, and cheese holes. Try making the two stars purple and teal so they look like silly floating stickers around the royal duck.

Under the bob-bob bubbles of Bubble Lagoon, Pippa paddled after a smell like warm crackers and cheddar. Her paper crown tipped over one eye, and her scarf dragged a tiny wake behind her. “If the moon smells this cheesy, I’m going to nibble the sky,” she quacked, following the scent past two wiggly stars.

The smell grew stronger beside a floating wedge full of round holes. Pippa peered into the biggest one. Out popped a silver bubble with a tiny mustache drawn on it in cheese dust. Then another bubble popped out wearing a cheese-crumb crown. Pippa laughed so hard her own crown bounced. The “moon” was a bubble-maker hidden inside the cheese, puffing royal jokes into the lagoon. Next time you spot those holes, dare yourself to guess which one is hiding the next bob-bob surprise.
