🎨 How to color it

Give the elf’s hat candy-cane red, the giant ornament bright turquoise, the hanging stars sunny yellow, and the paint jars grape purple. Use chunky crayons to fill the big ornament stripes first, and don’t worry if little hands color over the lines. Try making every other stripe on the ornament a different shade of blue so it looks extra round and shiny.

Under the warm shelf, Pip tapped his brush: tap, tap, hush. He wanted one perfect stripe for the biggest bauble. So he tiptoed from his cozy stool to the tall hook. The room smelled like paint and peppermint wood.

His sleeve swish-swished in a purple jar. “Oops—secret stripe!” Pip whispered. He painted over the drip, then added another, and another. The bauble did not look perfect. It looked like Pip. Back by his stool, he grinned at the swishy stripes. Can you spot the secret one?
