🎨 How to color it

Give the elf’s hat a candy-cane red, the crescent moon pillow a buttery yellow, the striped blanket soft blue and mint, and the tiny tree a cheerful green. Use chunky crayons for the big blanket stripes and moon shape; staying inside every line is not important for little hands. Add one surprise color, like purple, to every other bulb on the dangling light string.

Beside the nap shelf, snip-snip went Willa’s little scissors. She wanted a pillow she made all by herself, soft as toast and shaped like the moon.

She stuffed it with fluff. Pat-pat. She stitched on a star. “Mine!” she whispered, wiggling her toes.

Then the moon pillow went plink. Willa peeked into the pointy tip. A tiny bell was hiding there, left from her sewing basket.

She laughed, hugged her moon, and heard plink-plink with every proud squeeze. Can you find the sneaky star Willa stitched on her moon?
