🎨 How to color it

Try a soft mint green for the sleepy monster, sky blue for the wavy blanket, buttery yellow for the smiling moon, and lavender for the pillow. Use chunky crayons or broad markers to fill the big blanket and pillow shapes, and don’t worry if little hands color past the lines. Add one special gold star brighter than the others, as if it is the monster’s favorite bedtime sparkle.

Under a swooshy blanket, Lulo patted his pillow. Pat, pat. His tiny glow was still there, warm as toast and soft as a hum.

The room went hush. Stars blinked. The moon smiled through the window. Lulo lifted the pillow just a peek. “Oh!” he whispered.

The tiny glow was not a crumb or a bead. It was a moonbeam curl, resting there like a sleepy ribbon.
