At the canyon fair, dust puffed under every wheel, boot, and bouncing ball. Niko zoomed between red rock booths with a soft whirr-whirr, carrying shiny cups of cactus fizz on his flat top. His antennas bobbed like drumsticks. When the tumble-racers rumbled past, he tucked his little feet together and smiled with his eyes closed, listening to the clink-clink of empty snack tins.
Then, from under one striped foot, a tiny hatch popped open. Inside were round pebble-cakes, warm as sun-baked stone and smelling like cinnamon. Niko had baked them before sunrise, then hidden them where nobody would peek. “For hungry racers,” he beeped, setting cakes beside each tin while the crowd cheered at the finish arch. Later, crumbs sparkled on every grin, and Niko rested in the buzzing shade. If you spot his tucked-up feet, can you keep the secret of the snack hatch?
