🎨 How to color it

Color the panda’s patches soft black, the bamboo trunk honey tan, and the long narrow leaves two fresh greens. Use chunky crayons or markers for the panda’s big body shapes, then switch to a sharper green for the thin leaf tips and bark lines. Try making the raised paw a little brighter with a sunny yellow glow, as if it just found the best leaf in the game.

Up the warm bamboo slope, Juno tapped one trunk, then another. “Leaf-tag!” he called, hugging the smooth pole with all four paws. The new game had one rule: wait until a leaf brushed his nose, then tag it back with a paw. Swish-swish went the high leaves, but none came close.

Juno climbed higher. His belly fur tickled against the bark, and the air smelled green and rainy. He waited through three tiny ant parades and two plop-plop drops from last night’s storm.

Then a breeze zipped under the leaves and sent one down, down, down—right to Juno’s raised paw. “You’re it!” he laughed. The whole bamboo slope shivered as if it had been playing all along, and if you spot Juno’s lifted paw, you may catch the next swish-swish turn.
