🎨 How to color it

Color the sugar skull creamy white, the flower eyes marigold orange, the hearts cherry red, and the leafy vines bright green. The thick outlines and big petal shapes are perfect for chunky crayons or broad markers; fill the large areas first, then add the tiny dots. Try making the stars golden yellow so they look like little secret lights around the skull.

Under the moon garden gate, Rafi lined up seven tiny pebbles and whispered the rules of his new game: find the quiet star before the bell went bong. The flowers smelled like cinnamon sugar, and every paper leaf made a shh-shh sound in the dark. Rafi wanted to play before the older skulls arrived, but the garden looked bigger at night. “Just one star,” he told his knees, which were knocking click-click.

He spotted it tucked above the roundest blossom, not shining yet, only waiting. Rafi reached up and tapped the star with one brave fingertip. Ping! Gold light ran from star to dot, dot to heart, heart to flower eye, until the whole garden smiled back. Ever since, sugar skulls keep stars, dots, hearts, and flowers on their faces, because Rafi’s secret game taught the night where to glow. Can you find the first quiet star he tapped?
