🎨 How to color it

Give the unicorn’s mane cotton-candy pink, the striped horn lavender and lemon yellow, the polka-dot bow sky blue with white spots, and the hearts cherry red. Use chunky crayons for the big mane ribbons and bow loops, and don’t worry if little hands color right over the tiny stars and dots. For a sweet surprise, make every other curl in the mane a lighter pink so the waves look extra bouncy.

Every morning, Brindle tapped three shine-dots into her bow: plip, plip, plip. She dared herself to give one away before breakfast, with nobody clapping.

Until one day, the fountain lane felt gray and dry. Because of that, she tucked one shine-dot onto a sleepy stone star. Because of THAT, the star hummed, and tiny hearts blinked awake like warm jam drops.

“Shh,” Brindle whispered, smiling. Finally, she gave away her last bright dot and trotted home with a plain bow. Can you find the sparkle that stayed behind?
