🎨 How to color it

Give the vampire bat soft charcoal fur, a rosy pink nose and belly, golden yellow stars, and a buttery crescent moon. Use chunky crayons or broad markers inside the big wing panels, and do not worry if little hands hop over the bold lines. For extra night magic, make each wing section a different purple, from grape to lavender.

Every night, Pip flapped past the bell tower with his moon button: tap-tap, flap-flap! He wanted to pin it on the sky train, where all bat buttons belonged.

Until one windy night, whoosh! The button bounced toward three bright stars. Because of that, Pip zoomed after it. Because of THAT, the stars rang ding-ding-ding and showed the moon train sliding by.

“Mine goes there!” Pip squeaked. He popped the button in place, and the train hummed like home. Next time you see the crescent moon, can you spot Pip’s tap-tap, flap-flap?
