🎨 How to color it

Color her flowing hair moonlit silver, the sailor collar deep navy, the big chest bow cherry red, and the scattered stars bright gold. Use sharp colored pencils for the thin hair ribbons, star earrings, and layered skirt lines, then switch to smoother strokes for the larger hair sections. Try a pale lavender-to-blue glow behind the stars so her red bow and gold details pop like a stage spotlight.

The story behind this coloring page

Vivi’s Pocketful of Starlight — Across the comet rooftops, Vivi sprinted with her twin tails streaming like silver banners. Read the full story →

Across the comet rooftops, Vivi sprinted with her twin tails streaming like silver banners. The Moon Parade would begin when the clockwork lanterns chimed, and she wanted every balcony to have a star-kite. She tied red bows, snapped gold clips, and sent each kite fizzing upward with a papery whish. Cinnamon steam curled from noodle carts below, and her boots tapped fast over warm tiles.

No one counted the rooftops behind the closed observatory dome. Vivi did. She found tiny windows where night-mice lived, a cracked weather vane, and one quiet telescope pointed at nothing. From her sleeve she pulled three extra star-kites she had folded at dawn, small enough to hide in a mitten. “For the dark corners,” she whispered, and tucked them where no parade marshal would ever check.

When the lanterns chimed, the whole sky glittered—then Vivi’s own hair bows began to glow. The hidden kites had reflected back through the telescope, spilling starlight into every ribbon she wore. She laughed and struck her fastest parade pose, not because anyone had seen her secret, but because the secret had seen her. If you trace the ribbons next time, can you find where the pocketful of starlight came home?
