🎨 How to color it

Color the tiger’s coat deep orange with black stripes, the falling snowflakes pale blue, the bare trees soft gray-brown, and the little pines dark evergreen. Use sharp colored pencils for the tiger’s narrow stripe shapes, then switch to light side-strokes for the open snowy ground. Try a faint lavender-to-sky-blue wash behind the flakes so the tiger’s warm orange fur feels bright against the cold air.

The story behind this coloring page

Under a sky sifting soft, round snow, Kiran stepped from the fir shadows and placed one paw on the white ground. He wanted to make the first trail across the hollow before the flakes filled it in, so he moved slowly, listening to the hush press around his ears. Snow tickled his whiskers. The bare trees held up their black fingers as if counting each careful step.

His courage was small enough to fit beneath one paw: step, breathe, step. The cold crust crackled like thin paper. He passed winter grass, smooth stones, and a bent pine no taller than his shoulder. Then he lowered his nose to a pawprint and stopped. In the middle, where nobody would think to look, lay a tiny yellow star, not fallen from the sky but blooming from the snow itself.

Kiran did not pick it up. He touched the edge with one whisker, and the star melted into a warm drop that smelled faintly of sunlight on cedar bark. After that, every pawprint seemed less like a mark he left behind and more like a little lantern waiting to be noticed. When you find his snowy trail, see if one quiet star is still hiding under a paw.
