🎨 How to color it

Try a deep cherry red for the motorcycle tank, charcoal gray for the engine and saddlebags, pine green for the trees, and peachy gold for the setting sun. Use sharp colored pencils for the wheel spokes, engine fins, and dashed road lines, then switch to broader strokes for the hills and sky. Add a secret sunset glow by blending orange into pink behind the far mountain while keeping the motorcycle bold and dark in front.

Past the last gas pump, Tobin pushed the touring motorcycle toward Echo Bend, where even a whisper came back wearing a crown. He wanted one perfect whoop before supper, the kind that bounced from pine to pine and made your ribs buzz. The road smelled like hot rubber and sun-warmed grass. Halfway up, a pebble popped under the front tire—tik!—and the bike wobbled just enough to make him stop beside the overlook.

Here is the part I would only tell you: Tobin almost turned around. His palms stung from gripping the handles, and a cloud slid over the sun like a curtain. Then something inside the left saddlebag went plink-plink-plink. Not tools. Not keys. He unlatched it and found a tiny music box wrapped in his sister’s blue scarf, with a note: For your big echo. Share it if it gets too loud to keep.

Tobin wound the key. The tune spilled out bright and tinny, and the whole valley answered—plink, plink, plink—bigger each time. He laughed so hard a raven complained. Back home, he played it for his sister, then for the neighbors, until everyone’s joy had a place to land. If you peek at the parked motorcycle, I dare you to guess which saddlebag kept the sunset secret.
