🎨 How to color it

Color the left mitten candy-cane red with green polka dots, the right mitten pine green with red stripes, and the snowflakes icy blue. Use chunky crayons for the big mitten shapes, and let little hands color right over the tiny snowflake lines if they want. Make the loopy string golden yellow so it looks like it is playing its own twisty Christmas game.

Every day, Tuck hung his mittens on the low coat peg: pat-pat, done. Then he invented Mitten Snake. “Ssswish!” he whispered, pulling the string in a big loop.

Until one day, the loop caught a jingle bell. Because of that, the bell rang BING! Because of THAT, the sleepy toy moose sneezed glitter onto the cubbies. Tuck giggled and tucked one spotty mitten beside one stripey mitten. Finally, the string made one neat loop again. Next time you see it, can you hear Tuck whisper, “Ssswish”?
