🎨 How to color it

Color the panda’s black patches deep charcoal, the tall grass fresh spring green, the little flowers butter yellow, and the smooth rock warm tan. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the panda’s belly and paws, then switch to a sharper crayon tip for the thin grass blades and floating leaves. Try making the leaves two greens—one light, one dark—so they look as if they are twirling around the upside-down panda.

The story behind this coloring page

Bram and the Sky Beetle — Under the whispery grass of Meadow Hollow, Bram chased leaf shadows with his paws in the air. Read the full story →

Under the whispery grass of Meadow Hollow, Bram chased leaf shadows with his paws in the air. Swish went one leaf, flip went another, and Bram rolled after them until the world turned soft and upside down. The grass smelled green and rainy. A round stone beside him looked like a sleeping moon.

Then a tiny voice said, “You’re standing on my sky.” Bram blinked. On the underside of a leaf clung a blue beetle, looking down at him as if he were a cloud. Together they watched seeds float past like stars and flower faces shine like suns. Bram did not roll away. He let his curiosity run farther than his feet, and if you spot the sleeping-moon stone, you may find the beetle’s sky too.
