Before the sun slid behind the snowy peaks, Nico set himself a challenge: carry one laugh all the way around the mountain bend without dropping it. His tires hummed on the warm road, and the suitcases on his roof went thump-thump, but every giggle from the back seat vanished into the pine-smelling air.
At the highest curve, Nico spotted three stone tunnels in the cliff, hidden like sleepy mouths. He beeped once. “Hello?” called the smallest rider, and the tunnels tossed it back: Hello! Hello!
