🎨 How to color it

Color the heart a soft petal pink, the flowers sunny yellow and coral, the leaves fresh green, and the little dots sky blue. Use chunky crayons or markers for the wide curved bands, and do not worry if the color bumps over a thick black line. Try making the two big striped corners in alternating pinks, like a candy ribbon wrapped around the heart.

Every day after snack, Pippa sat in the clover and counted quiet curves: one vine curl, two petal loops, three soft stripes in the grass. She had set herself a little challenge—reach twenty before the crickets began their chrrp-chrrp song. The meadow smelled like warm leaves, and each curve seemed to hum under her finger.

Until one day, the roundest heart-bloom opened its sleepy eyes and grinned. Because of that, Pippa lost her number and started again. Because of THAT, she noticed two tiny leaves she had never counted, then a spiral hiding beside a flower, then bubbles like little moons. “Wait for me,” she whispered, laughing softly. At last, when the first cricket chirped, Pippa did not have twenty curves; she had wonder running all the way to her toes. Next time you see the smiling heart, can you find the spiral that made Pippa start over?
