🎨 How to color it

Color the puppy golden tan, the raincoat bright yellow, the polka-dot umbrella red with white spots, and the puddles pale blue. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the big coat, umbrella panels, and puddles, and don’t worry if little hands color past the bold lines. For extra rainy fun, make every other umbrella stripe orange and add darker blue along the bottom of each puddle.

The story behind this coloring page

Rocco Follows the Raindrop Parade — Plink, plonk, plip! Under the striped umbrella, Rocco marched along the wet park path, tapping his boots in every shiny puddle he could reach. Read the full story →

Plink, plonk, plip! Under the striped umbrella, Rocco marched along the wet park path, tapping his boots in every shiny puddle he could reach. His yellow coat swished, the grass smelled fresh and muddy, and the rain made dots on the umbrella like tiny paws. “Which drop is fastest?” he barked, and hurried after the next splash.

At the biggest puddle, a bubble popped—bloop! Out bobbed a little gray frog wearing a reed like a tiny baton. The frog tapped the water: plip-plip-PLONK. Rocco tapped back with both boots, and the whole path answered. If you peek at the puddles by Rocco’s boots, can you hear their parade starting again—plink, plonk, plip?
