The story behind this coloring page

Under the leaf arch at recess, Nell set herself a dare: make three arrows from old lunch-box labels before the bell went ding-ding. She peeled, folded, and stuck them in a wobbly circle on the round playground map. The labels smelled like oranges and peanut butter. “No peeking, Earth,” she whispered, then spun around three times to make the arrows dizzy.

The leaves above her shivered, even though the air was still. One leaf tapped the map. Tap-tap. The other leaf tapped back. Tap-tap-tap. Nell gasped. Her arrows were not pointing to the trash cans at all. They pointed to the leaves, and the leaves pointed to the world, like everyone was in on the joke. Nell giggled so hard her knees squeaked on the rubbery ground. When the bell went ding-ding, she left the three arrows twirling there, and if you trace them next time, you might feel the leaf arch whisper, tap-tap.
