🎨 How to color it

Color the puppy golden tan, the floppy bunny ears soft pink inside, the big patterned egg sky blue with yellow dots, and the tulips bright red. Use chunky crayons or broad markers for the puppy’s wide face, the egg stripes, and the rolling hills; staying inside every line is optional. Try making each tiny daisy on the collar and in the grass a different happy color, like the puppy is carrying a little parade.

The story behind this coloring page

Doodle’s Egg Parade — Across the spring hills, Doodle bounced with his striped egg tucked beside the tulips. Tap-tap, thump-thump! Read the full story →

Across the spring hills, Doodle bounced with his striped egg tucked beside the tulips. Tap-tap, thump-thump! The egg was plain to everyone else, but Doodle pressed his ear to it and heard the parade beat he had saved all week. His bunny ears flopped as he trotted past daisies and warm grass.

Two butterflies zipped overhead, left-right, left-right, just like tiny flags. “Ready?” Doodle barked. He nudged the egg, and its dots seemed to answer with a soft patter.

Then the butterflies landed on the flowers and tapped their feet. They had not come to watch the parade—they were the band! Doodle wagged so hard the tulips bobbed along. Next time you see his striped egg, can you hear the tap-tap, thump-thump across the spring hills?
