🎨 How to color it

Try deep forest green for the tall pine boughs, sunflower yellow for the round sun, rusty orange for the campfire, and a cream-and-teal palette for the teardrop camper. Use sharp colored pencils on the tiny swirls, leaf veins, wheel rings, and camper panels, then save broader marker fills for the clouds and open path. For a lively twist, let the smoke curl shift from pale lavender to sky blue as it rises into the patterned sky.

At first light, Dax snapped a twig in two and named his new game Spark-Path: start at the fire ring, follow any curling line with one finger, and shout “Trail!” before the sun cleared the pines. Smoke smelled like cedar toast. The camper’s painted loops became rivers, ladders, switchbacks, and secret ramps; Dax raced from wheel circle to door flower to roof vine, laughing so hard the tin step rang under his boot.

The game grew faster. A chickadee flicked through the branches like a tossed pebble, and Dax added a rule: every trail had to lead to something worth sharing. He found a fern shaped like a burst of fireworks, a cloud with a handle, a path that seemed to pour straight out of the camper’s side. Joy crowded his chest like a pack ready to run.

Then the twist arrived quietly: the smoke above the chimney bent into the same spirals he had been tracing below. The sky was not the finish line; it was another player, drawing its own wild route over the pines. Dax whooped for the other campers, passing them twigs, and together they chased loops from flame to roof to cloud until morning blazed with one big, shared Spark-Path.
