🎨 How to color it

Color the fox rusty orange with a cream muzzle and tail tip, make the brick school warm tan, and give the backpack a bright teal. Use sharp colored pencils for the small brick lines, window panes, flower petals, and the letters on the school sign. Try a sunrise fade behind the bell tower, pale yellow near the roof and soft blue higher up, to make the open doorway feel extra welcoming.

Every morning, before the first lesson, Daxon padded up the school path and guessed where the bell tower’s shadow would touch when the bell rang. He had invented the Bell-Shadow Game with one rule: no peeking after the first cloud drifted over the roof. Chalk dust smelled sharp through the open door, and the bell rope hung still as a sleeping vine.

Until one day, the bell did not ring. Because of that, the class lined up quietly under the windows, listening to the soft tick of leaves and the far coo of pigeons. Because of that, Daxon waited longer than he ever had, paws pressed around his backpack straps while the shadow crept across the steps, thin and slow.

Finally, sunlight slid past the chimney smoke and the shadow’s tip landed exactly on the third step. “There,” Daxon whispered. A breeze nudged the rope, and the bell answered with one bright bong. If you follow the curving path with your eyes, can you find the step where Daxon’s patient guess came true?
