🎨 How to color it

Color the basketball bright orange, the hoop rim cherry red, the net light blue, and the backboard pale gray. Use chunky crayons for the large ball and backboard rectangles; grown-ups can help little hands trace the long swoosh slowly. Add a sunny yellow glow around the ball to make its high, looping path feel extra exciting.

Every day, Nico rolled his orange ball on the driveway: bump, bump, bump. He wanted one big swish before snack.

One day, he made a challenge. “I will wait for the ball to come back,” he said. He tossed it up—bonk! It bounced away. Because of that, he chased it past the chalk stars. Because of that, he tried softer, slower, with warm sun on his nose.

At last, Nico waited… waited… whoosh! The ball curled into the hoop. Can you spot the bump-bump ball before snack?
