🎨 How to color it

Give the bear teller honey brown fur, the kitten a soft cream coat, the coin stacks bright gold, and the leafy plants fresh green. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big counter, window, and safe, and do not worry if little hands color over the coin lines. Try making the sky outside pale blue while keeping the bank counter warm tan, so the tiny gold coins feel extra sunny.

The story behind this coloring page

Liora’s Jar of Clinks — All week, a glass jar went clink, clink, clink in Liora’s paws. Read the full story →

All week, a glass jar went clink, clink, clink in Liora’s paws. She wanted enough coins for the wind-up music box in the tiny shop window, the one that played like raindrops on bells. At the bank, the door smelled like paper and clean leaves. Liora stepped up to the counter and slid over her jar.

Behind it, Bixby the bear made little towers of coins. Then he paused and listened. Clink-clink, clink-clink. “Your jar is singing,” he whispered. Liora had to spend three shiny coins to buy a new saving book, and her whiskers drooped. But Bixby tapped the stacks into a tune, and Liora tapped along.

She carried home the new book, not the music box, yet her heart felt too full to keep quiet. On the way, she taught the clink-song to two sparrows and the mail mouse. Next time you see the coin towers, can you hear Liora’s jar go clink, clink, clink?
