🎨 How to color it

Give the bear stylist honey-brown fur, the puppy warm cream fur, the oval mirror a pale lavender frame, and the scattered bows rosy pink. Use sharp colored pencils around the scissors, tiny bows, bottle labels, and checkered floor lines so those small salon details stay crisp. For a fun twist, make each shampoo bottle label a different pastel and add a soft blue reflection inside the mirror.

The story behind this coloring page

The Bows That Waited — Behind the tall mirror salon, Sylvie kept hearing a tiny pap-pap-pap, like raindrops tapping satin. Read the full story →

Behind the tall mirror salon, Sylvie kept hearing a tiny pap-pap-pap, like raindrops tapping satin. She wanted every ribbon tied before the first customer blinked, but the bows slipped from her paws, skated across the checkerboard floor, and hid under bottles that smelled like pears and clean soap.

“Hold still one snip longer,” she whispered to Doodle, who sat warm and drowsy in the chair. Sylvie waited. The pap-pap-pap came again—not from the floor, not from the curtain, but from the round footrest nobody ever checked. She pressed the pedal. A secret drawer clicked open, full of bows folded flat as sleeping butterflies.

Sylvie chose one only after the last careful snip. The bow puffed up on its own, pleased to be patient. Ever since, every Cozy Town haircut ends with a bow from the waiting drawer; if you peek by the chair, you may spot one still listening for pap-pap-pap.
