🎨 How to color it

Color the dinosaur spring green, the soccer jersey bright red, the cleats cobalt blue, and the stadium scoreboards golden yellow. Use sharp pencils for the net squares, shoe studs, and scoreboard boxes, then switch to broader strokes for the dinosaur’s body and grassy hills. Try a sunset fade behind the stadium seats so the black-and-white soccer ball pops in front of the goal.

Every afternoon, after the popcorn carts clanged shut and the grass smelled sharp from sprinklers, Juno practiced normal soccer: run, kick, thump, cheer. But normal felt too tidy. So she invented Backward Goal Game, where she faced the wrong way, kicked by listening to the ball’s bounce, and shouted, “No peeking, toes!”

Until one day, her heel-punt boinged off the tiny practice net and smacked the scoreboard button shed. Because of that, the numbers flashed duck, moon, sandwich instead of goals. Because of that, the crowd began guessing snacks, the referees blew whistles in three different rhythms, and Juno got so curious she tried another backward kick to see what picture came next.

Finally, she aimed for the only sound that stayed steady: the net humming in the breeze. Thwack! The ball zipped in, the scoreboard blinked 1–0, and the snack-guessers groaned happily. If you spot Juno’s raised cleat, you’ll know the exact second curiosity almost ran away with the game—run, kick, thump, cheer.
