🎨 How to color it

Color the go-kart cherry red, the driver’s helmet bright white with a blue visor, and the striped cones safety orange. Use chunky crayons or markers for the big kart panels and tires, then slow down for the narrow dashed road marks. Try making the far hills soft green and the sky pale blue so the red kart pops on the curve.

The story behind this coloring page

Dax and the Wiggly Whistle — Around the cone track, Dax tucked a tiny silver whistle under his steering wheel. Read the full story →

Around the cone track, Dax tucked a tiny silver whistle under his steering wheel. It had come from his first pit-crew lunch box, and it gave a squeaky peep-peep whenever the breeze slid through it. Dax rolled past the orange cones, making neat little turns. “Peep means left!” he giggled.

The track warmed in the sun and smelled like rubber and dust. Peep-peep! Dax turned again. Peep-peep-PEEP! He wiggled around one more cone, laughing so hard his tires chirped.

Then he noticed the cones were not just cones. From above, they made a giant arrow pointing to a shady spot where every small kart had parked in a perfect circle. The whistle had been calling him to his own place all along. Next time you see the curvy track, can you spot where Dax belongs with his peep-peep whistle?
